Magnetic Characterization of Liquid, Powder or Solid Samples

DynoMag AC Susceptometer

The DynoMag is a portable, easy to use AC susceptometer that can characterize magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and other magnetic materials. AC susceptometry provides detailed information on how quickly magnetization is building up in a material. An excitation magnetic field is applied to the sample and the in-phase and out-of-phase susceptibility is measured in a specific frequency range. Not only influenced by the material itself, the AC susceptibility of MNPs is also affected by particle size, distribution, molecules on the nanoparticle surface, and other characteristics of the sample. All of these effects influence the frequency dependent AC susceptibility of the sample. The affordable DynoMag AC susceptometer provides a wide range of frequencies at which samples can be characterized in this way.
